Guess who is practicing their wet-on-wet watercolor painting....I will give you a hint. She is your second grade teacher this year!! Some of these were painted in Kentucky during our week of Waldorf training, and some were painted in my living room! I will keep practicing as I paint with you.

Have you seen the second grade supply list yet? Please do not label these items with your child's name. They are general classroom supplies. Please note that we are not using backpacks this year. Communications with parents will be done VIA email and this classroom webpage. Any items that will be sent home with students will be done so accordingly!
General Supplies – 1 pack of wooden pencils (no designs please) 1 large fabric pencil pouch (with 3 holes) 2 packs of fat pink erasers (Staedtler Mars or Pentel) Stockmar block crayons – purchase from the school or order online Stockmar stick crayons – purchase from the school or order online 1 crayon roll - $3.00 purchased from the school 1 Fiskar round-tipped scissors 1 large glue stick & 1 bottle glue 6 plastic folders- 2 pockets, three prongs each (1 each color: red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow) No designs please 2 wide ruled composition books 2 Steno Notebooks 2 Spiral Art Sketch Pads/Diary (11" x 8 .5" or 9” x 12”, 70 - 100 Sheets) 1 Ream of Copy Paper 2 packs post-its (square, any color) 1 wooden ruler (metric and standard units) 1 box of quart Ziploc bags 1 skein of solid colored yarn 1 set of bamboo knitting needles (#10 – 9” at Michael’s) 1 package of multicolor construction paper (8.5 “ x 11”) 1 package of staples 1 package of scotch tape 1 package Sharpie Markers Girls Only: 1 pack 4x6 index cards 1 box of tissues 2 washcloths 1 box of disposable non- latex gloves __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Boys Only 1 pack 3x5 index cards 1 bottle of eco-friendly liquid hand soap 2 cloth hand towels 1 box assorted band aids (no character/media designs please) To be left at school and labeled with student’s name: Sunscreen: preferably stick Sun Hat Insect Repellent Rain Boots Raincoat Reusable Water Bottle Yoga Mat Our learning cottage is coming together beautifully! Earlier in the week, we had so many wonderful volunteers come out and help move furniture into the learning cottages! I am so excited to get the room set up and decorated for the first day of school.
